The urban context has its role in defining the foci of the photographs. The subject and context constantly question each other in time, space and texture.
Working across commissioned and personal practice, Vikram Bawa brings more than three decades of image-making to beauty, fashion, celebrity portraiture, advertising, automotive, architecture, film and fine art. His practice now connects photography, direction, end-to-end production and human-led AI.
His work moves between commercial clarity and authored image-making: creating visual worlds for brands, publications, films, galleries and cultural institutions while retaining a distinct visual voice.

On the work
Across commissioned and personal work, beauty is rarely isolated from the world around it. Bodies, fashion, architecture, technology and the urban landscape are used to examine desire, identity, cultural change and the tension between past and future.
